WC-1 is a heavy bodied, water based, breathing type mastic for use as a protective coating over all types of insulation systems, both indoors and outdoors. WC-1 may also be successfully used on other surfaces such as masonry and primed steel when a water based coating is desired offering durability, weather protection, chemical and oil resistance, and beauty. In most applications, the recommended dried film thickness for WC-1 is 1/16" for maximum weather protection.

WC-1 is a thick, polyvinyl acetate emulsion which is suitable for application by trowel, palm, or spray (method of application should be specified when ordering).

Over properly designed insulation systems, WC-1, after drying, becomes a tough, durable flexible film which provides maximum protection at a wide range of temperatures. It is a "breathing type" coating which allows residual moisture underneath it to pass escape as water vapor. It should not be applied on a flat surface where it will be subjected to standing water.

WC-1 is suitable for application at ambient temperatures down to 40°F (4°C) and where the temperature is not expected to be below 35°F (2°C) for at least 24 hours after application.

WC-1 CONTAINS NO ASBESTOS, LEAD, OR MERCURY COMPOUNDS. IT IS USDA ACCEPTABLE.
